But is this what is meant by a “Sanctuary State?”
You will notice that the poem written by Emma Lazarus doesn’t include
Felons, Terrorists, Murderers, Human Traffickers, and the Drug Cartel. But Sanctuary does…
Monday California became a "Sanctuary
State", as a bill that Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law in
October officially took effect. Is this responsible immigration?
The law bars police in the
nation's most populous state from asking people about their legal status or cooperating
with federal immigration enforcement activities.
The Golden State is home to an
estimated 3 million illegal Aliens not undocumented immigrants, out of a
little less than 20 million population. More than 10 percent of the population
of the state is illegal. The vast majority are Mexican La Raza or MS 13 drug or human traffickers
or socialist’s welfare recipients. The rest are Muslim Jihadist's.
“These are uncertain times for Undocumented Immigrants in California and their
families, and this bill strikes a balance that will protect public safety,
while bringing a measure of comfort to those families who are now living in
fear every day,” Governor
Red (excuse me) Brown said on the day he signed the bill.
And because of that un-American
law, it has drawn a rebuttal from an unidentified source, as signs mocking the unconstitutional
law have appeared below the "Welcome to California" signs that greet
motorists as they enter from Arizona, Oregon and Nevada.
"OFFICIAL SANCTUARY STATE," the signs declare.
"Felons, Illegals and MS13 Welcome! Democrats Need The Votes!"
California passed the bill just as the Trump administration was pledging to
crack down on sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal
immigration authorities.
Trump repeatedly pointed to the
case of Kate Steinle, a woman who was fatally shot July 1, 2015, on a San
Francisco pier by a five time illegal immigrant. The defendant went on
trial for murder, but was acquitted in November 2017.
“No wonder the people of our
Country are so angry with Illegal Immigration," the president tweeted after
the verdict, which he labeled "disgraceful."
Other members of the Trump administration spoke out against the California
proposal.
Even the left wing Los Angeles Times reported:
“The bill risks the safety of
good law enforcement officers and the safety of the neighborhoods that need
their protection the most,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in
September.
Added Thomas Homan, acting
director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement: “By passing this bill,
California politicians have chosen to prioritize politics over public safety. Disturbingly, the legislation serves to codify
a dangerous policy that deliberately obstructs our country’s immigration laws
and shelters serious criminal alien offenders,"
THE BOTTOM LINE: Normally I am against Federal overreach, but
this is not overreach my friend it is the law. The
Federal government is in charge of Immigration into this country not the
states. While the
word “immigration” does not appear in the U.S. Constitution or any of its
Amendments. Article I, Section 8, Clause 4 does read, “… To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization,” which means the
establishment of citizenship through Immigration. The 14th Amendment, Section 1
addresses the protection of “All persons born or naturalized in the
United States,…” which extended citizenship to the former slaves. The
U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1876 that immigration regulation was an exclusive
Federal responsibility. Congress established the Immigration Service in 1891.
Warning - I’m going to rant now:
The problem here is that Governor Jerry Red (I’m
sorry) Brown and all his Nazi comrades don’t know the difference between an Immigrant
and an illegal alien. I for one am deeply offended at his big bucket effect of
throwing Immigrants into the same pot as Criminal Aliens. Both my parents were Immigrants and they were
not illegals or undocumented aliens. It’s too bad that the hate America elites
of southern California voted in such an ignorant Nazi stooge for governor of
the once greatest state in the union. The truth is that immigrants cannot be
illegal aliens and illegal aliens cannot be immigrants. Because Immigration is
a legal process by which one legally [Im]migrates from one country to
another. So one cannot possibly be a
so-called undocumented immigrant as Nazi governor Moon Beam says.
As I
said Immigration is a legal process and therefore cannot be illegal.
Illegal aliens on the other hand are criminals who have desecrated the law and
our country. They don’t come to support
it, they come to destroy it. Example: La Raza and Islamic Sharia.
We are a country of law, if we lose that, we lose our
country! If you don’t agree – file a brief in the US Supreme Court.
