Well there is at
least one left, and he lives in Texas. Stephen Willeford a local man who shot the Texas
church shooter and then he chased after the gunman.
Stephen Willeford, a resident of Sunderland Springs, was at home when his daughter came to his bedroom and told him that she heard gunshots coming from the First Baptist Church nearby.
“I kept hearing the shots, one after another, very rapid shots – just ‘pop pop pop pop’ and I knew every one of those shots represented someone, that it was aimed at someone, that they weren’t just random shots,” Willeford said.
A former NRA instructor, Willeford decided to load his rifle while his daughter scouted the situation outside. She told him that he saw a man in black tactical gear firing at the church. So Willeford, without even putting on his shoes, grabbed his firearm and ran across the street to the church to confront the shooter.
“He saw me and I saw him,” Willeford said. “I was standing behind a pickup truck for cover.” The pair exchanged gunfire.
“I know I hit him,” Willeford said. “He got into his vehicle, and he fired another couple rounds through his side window. When the window dropped, I fired another round at him again.”
Although he shot the gunman, later identified as 26-year-old Devin Kelley, he decided to flee the scene and speed down the highway.
Willeford spotted his friend Johnnie Langendorff in his pickup truck at a stop sign. He ran over and asked him for help.
“That guy just shot up the Baptist church. We need to stop him,” Willeford told Johnnie.
“I was strictly just acting on what’s the right thing to do,” Langendorff told reporters earlier Monday, according to the Associated Press.
As they drove after the shooter the pair called 911 to give a description of the assailant. Eventually, they caught up to Kelley’s truck, who had run into a road sign and flipped his truck into a ditch.
Willeford cautiously exited his truck and yelled, “get out of the truck, get out of the truck, but did not see any movement”, he said. Police later arrived to the scene. Kelley opted to take the cowards way out and committed suicide.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Willeford insists that he’s not a hero. “I think my God, my Lord protected me and gave me the skills to do what needed to be done,” he said.
When the dust had settled, officials revealed that Kelley killed 26 people in the rampage, the largest mass shooting in Texas history.
It’s too bad the church itself was a GUN FREE ZONE or maybe so many wouldn’t have died. But it’s interesting what happens when at least a neighbor obeys constitutional law and “keeps and bears arms.” I wonder when the State and Federal Governments are going to begin obeying the law as well - and put a stop to all this defenseless killing.

Constitutional law requires that we be an armed nation…It’s “Necessary for the security of a Free State.” Read it for yourself and you too will see that the Government is in violation of the law. “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Well it’s been infringed my friend. That’s why all the kids died at Sandy Hook. It too - was a GUN FREE ZONE.
How about your’ kids…or your’ church?
Do you know the truth about people killed by guns? Probably not. So I am going to shock you, so if you have a bad heart don’t read this, or look these up. So far 'this year' 1000 people have been killed with guns in the city of Chicago. Chicago is a city that has a virtual gun ban. In other words a GUN FREE CITY, no guns in Chicago. You can’t even buy a gun in Chicago. OK, now hang on to your GUN FREE ZONE SIGN because…first, on average, there are approximately 12000 people killed by guns in the entire country per year. Now! As I said if you have a weak heart don’t read this… From 2011 to 2016 that’s five years my friend in the entire state of Vermont 420 people died of gun shots...Total. That’s an average of 84 people a year for 5 years in the entire state. Why is’ that, you should ask? Answer: because the state of Vermont doesn’t have any gun laws. None, ziltch, noda. You can carry a loaded gun down main street Vermont, and people do. So the crazies steer clear of Vermont. And as you can see, I didn’t make this up.
So now go buy yourself a gun for CHRISTMAS. Remember what Jesus said "But now," he said, "take your money and a traveler's bag. And if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!” Luke 22:36.
And I’ say…”if you have a Bible look it up!” I didn’t make that up either…
