The New American Flag

“8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,” [and for murders of children] 1 Timothy 1:8-9New King James Version (NKJV)

RAINBOW- CHRISTIANS QUIZZED BY PASTOR

“What do you think you understand about Bible
that Augustine, Aquinas, Calvin, Luther failed to grasp?”

In the aftermath of the illegal U.S. Supreme Court’s creation of the “same-sex marriage” law, a pastor’s list of 40 questions for Christians who support the lawless evil       decision, is going viral.
It’s been shared on Facebook nearly 400,000 times and tweeted more than 3,000. Pastor Kevin DeYoung’s list of questions for rainbow flag-waving so-called Christians includes: “As you think about the long history of the church and the near universal disapproval of same-sex sexual activity, what do you think you understand about the Bible that Augustine, Aquinas, Calvin and Luther failed to grasp?”
Read the list of DeYoung’s questions on the website for The Gospel Coalition, which describes itself as a “broadly Reformed network of churches.”
DeYoung is senior pastor of University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan.
He says the court’s ruling “hurts.”
“Making legal and theological decisions based on what makes people feel better is part of what got us into this mess in the first place,” he wrote. “There are many reasons for our lamentation, from fear that religious liberties will be taken away to worries about social ostracism and cultural marginalization.”
But he said the biggest hurt comes from Christians who give “their hearty ‘Amen’ to a practice we still think is a sin and a decision we think is bad for our country.”
Among the questions he asks: “How long have you believed that gay marriage is something to be celebrated?” and “What Bible verses led you to change your mind?”
He also wants to know how a positive case can be made from Scripture “that sexual activity between two persons of the same sex is a blessing.”
“What verses would you use to show that a marriage between two persons of the same sex can adequately depict Christ and the church?”
Why, he asks, did Jesus “reassert the Genesis definition of marriage as being one man and one woman?”
“Do you believe that passages like 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Revelation 21:8 teach that sexual immorality can keep you out of heaven?”
“What arguments would you use to explain to Christians in Africa, Asia and South America that their understanding of homosexuality is biblically incorrect and your new understanding of homosexuality is not culturally conditioned?”
Specific to the United States, he asks, “Do you think Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were motivated by personal animus and bigotry when they, for almost all of their lives, defined marriage as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman?”
Once the biblical standard is abandoned, he asks, “Should marriage be limited to only two people?” and “On what basis, if any, would you prevent consenting adults of any relation and of any number from getting married?”
And addressing the responsibility of churches, he asks, “What open and affirming churches would you point to where people are being converted to orthodox Christianity, sinners are being warned of judgment and called to repentance and missionaries are being sent out to plant churches among unreached peoples?”
DeYoung said the questions “aren’t meant to be snarky or merely rhetorical.”
“They are sincere, if pointed, questions that I hope will cause my brothers and sisters with the new rainbow-themed avatars to slow down and think about the flag you’re flying.”
THE BOTTOM LINE: Everyone must understand that this is just the continuation of the moral decay of a once great country that began with the removal of the Ten Commandments and the banning of the Bible from public schools.
If Israel was the Promised Land for the Jews, then America was the Promised Land for the Christians.  And just as Israel was destroyed and the Jews lost their historical land because they turned away from the law of God and the basic principles of Judaism.   America will also be lost to the destructive forces of immorality and the separation from God, and that’s a guarantee my friend.
This should come as no surprise to Christians as it is prophesied in the bible:  “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.” Matthew 24:11.  “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,” Matthew 24:12. “Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.”  Timothy 4:1 .  “Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.” II Thessalonians 2:3.
These are just a few of the many verses in scripture that forewarn of exactly what is happing in not only America but the world over.  Does this mean that it is inevitable for you or even for America that we will all fall away from the grace of God? No it just means that God knew the stupid evil practices that we would be deceived by.

The promise: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Christians, there is still hope for you, but heed the promise or you will be lost with all the rest of humanity…
