Ebola Is In The U.S.

Ebola Is In The U.S.

The head of the CDC lied, and he is sticking to it. But this should come as no surprise.

In the first Interview with Dr. Thomas Frieden, the director of the CDC, he said that Ebola would not come to the U.S.   “We have protocols and well trained medical personnel in the U.S. to handle any threats of this hemorrhagic virus.”

By now like me, you should know that you can’t trust anything the government says about protecting this country from any enemy large or small.  This my friend is what happens when we become a dependent people, totally dependent on the government for our health care or personal security.  Let me ask you this, what is Homeland Security going to do with their armored vehicles and millions of rounds of ammunition to protect you from an invisible enemy like Ebola.

Several years ago I held seminars on preparedness because of a possible disaster natural or otherwise, but I didn’t consider what an out of control pandemic would do.   Losing the electric grid, or a dirty bomb, a financial collapse or maybe a drought, but a nasty critter so small that it can only be seen through a microscope didn’t cross my mind.

Now watching what is happening in West Africa, not only the sickness, but the infrastructure and the economy, people afraid to go out of their homes, even to take a chance of going to work or the store to buy food or other necessities, fearing they might come in contact with someone that is sick with Ebola, conjures up scenes from some horror movie.

What if someone comes to your door that is obviously sick, asking you for food or help, opening the door is a sure death sentence for you and your family, so you just look at them through the window and tell them to please go away.

Can this happen in the U.S.? The CDC says no! And yet we now have one dead and two infected hospital nurses that treated Thomas Eric Duncan.  Not only that, the second nurse took a flight to Ohio and back to Dallas and possibly infested up to 132 people on the plane as well as any people that she came in contact with in Ohio.  The CDC approved her to leave quarantine even though she had a low grade fever.  She had a temperature more than a one degree above what is considered normal 99.5 and she got worse from there.  The CDC said that if she had had a temperature above 104 degrees they wouldn't have allowed her to leave quarantine.  What is the matter with these so-called doctors in the CDC?  More than a 104 degrees could cause brain damage in an adult.  Maybe the CDC doctors have brain damage.

Not to mention the fact that when Duncan first came to the Texas hospital ER and said he was from West Africa, he was sent home.  Where were the protocols then Dr. Frieden?  They may have to quarantine all the people on the plane, baggage handlers, ticket agents and TSA agents as well as the citizens of Ohio.  Could you say this just might just get out of hand Dr Frieden?

Why do I say that the CDC lied?  Because since that first interview I have listened to several interviews with Doctors, directors of hospitals and a nurse who is a representative of a national nurses union say, “that not only do hospitals across the Nation not have the necessary equipment to protect medical personnel from this disease, but they have had no training and there are no protocols in place to handle an Ebola patient should one randomly show up in a hospital ER.”

In response to that problem a CDC spokesperson said “Oh, they are going to set up several special units that are specially trained at strategic places in the U.S.”  To which I said, talking to the television, “yes but when someone gets sick they are not going to drive, fly, take a bus or a train to one of these special units, they are going to go to their own doctor or hospital emergency room where they are not equipped or trained.”  As I said, The CDC lied.   The CDC just might be as dangerous as the Ebola virus.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Despite the fact that nearly none of what the government so-called experts say has been true, the majority of the American people believe that the CDC is doing a fine job nearly 53 to 47 approve what the CDC is doing.
Which adds credence to my theory that most of the time most of the people… are wrong.

Last minute update:
Obama said, “I want to use myself as an example so people have a sense of the science here. I shook hands with, hugged, and kissed, not the doctors, but a couple of the nurses at Emory because of the valiant work that they did in treating one of the patients. They followed the protocols, they knew what they were doing, and I felt perfectly safe doing so. And so, this is not a situation in which, like a flu, the risks of a rapid spread of the disease are imminent. If we do these protocols properly, follow the steps, get the information out, then the likelihood of widespread Ebola out break in this country are very, very low.”
We should be so lucky!
