SB843 The Ammo Bill

SB843 The Ammo Bill
U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., says he believes open purchase orders from the Department of Homeland Security to buy over a billion and a half rounds of ammunition are part of an “intentional” effort by the Obama administration to “dry up the public market” for U.S. citizens.  I hope you have already purchased all the bullets you will need to fight a war for your freedom as I have been warning you to do…

Reminiscent of the government buying up and hoarding wheat during the 1930’s to shore up the falling prices of over production, Obama’s is still having his stooge at the DHS buy up Ammunition by the tons of bushel loads, as if it were wheat ,just as “Fast and Furious” as she can.  Even though it is having a similar effect, it is not necessarily for the same reason.  While it is’ increasing prices, it is also…well…there is just none left available to the public to buy, including local sheriffs departments.  And then, there is the little problem of what is the DHS, (which is code for Obama’s private military), going to do with all that unprecedented brutal fire power?    Care to Guess?

What you are looking at my friend, is some of the most devastating type of small arms ammunition in the entire world.  It is so brutal that it is not even allowed for use in U.S. military combat.  But Obama’s personel military the DHS has millions of rounds of it to be used against…YOU…  This ammo is not for practice…this is for killing. Do you see the hole in the tip of the bullet and the lines pressed into the sides of the tip?  When this bullet traveling at a velocity of nearly 1000 feet per second suddenly comes into contact with soft tissue it mushrooms into something the size of a quarter or larger and with a raged torn surface it rips and tears flesh and anything else in its path, it is devastatingly brutal my friend.  This is not for paper targets; this is what your president has in store for you

“We have in this country the Second Amendment that preserves the right of the people to keep and bear arms,” Senator Inhofe told radio host Aaron Klein, “and the president doesn’t believe in that.”  Well I know that you can’t say what is really on your mind Senator, because of politics and all that rubbish, but I can.  …“the president doesn’t believe in that” as you say, because he doesn’t believe in a constitutionally limited government, he obviously believes in a despotic tyranny.

Inhofe was a guest on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York City’s WABC station, talking about his Ammunition Management for More Obtainability Bill– or better known as THE AMMO BILL”, which is designed to limit non-defense, armed federal agencies to pre-Obama levels of ammunition.  The bill, SB843, has been referred to Senate committee, while a similar bill sponsored by Rep. Frank Lucas, R-Okla., has been referred to House committee.  You might want to urge your representatives to sign on as co-sponsors to those bills or they will just gather dust on a shelf in committee, and be stuck there until after the New American Revolution.  Remember one of those brutal hollow points at the DHS has your name on it…

“President Obama has been doing everything he could to stop the private ownership of guns in America,” Inhofe asserted.  “Yet he’s been voted down in a big way by a large majority, and so my feeling is that he’s doing this to buy up [ammunition] so honest, law-abiding citizens here in the United States, like my son, can’t even buy ammunition because government is purchasing so much.”

The DHS has claimed it’s simply creating bulk purchase orders to save money and that 80 percent of the ammunition is used for training purposes, but Inhofe it’s bunk.  “We had someone testify the other day that the DHS has the ‘right’ – this is a bureaucrat who said this – they have the ‘right’ to buy as much as they want, and they’re planning to buy 750 million more rounds,” Inhofe said. “That is more than three times the amount our soldiers are using for training to defend our nation.”

“I believe it’s intentional,” Inhofe said of the ammunition shortages many private and local law enforcement purchasers are experiencing. “It’s just another effort to restrict gun activity and ownership.”  He added later, “This has never happened in this country before.  We’ve never had government trying to take that much control at the expense of law-abiding citizens.  And we’re not going to let it happen.”

To that end, Inhofe has proposed his AMMO BILL, still without co-sponsors, in the U.S. Senate.  “It’s designed to have the Government Accounting Office inventory not the Defense Department but all other departments that use weaponry,” Inhofe said, “as to what they’re doing in terms of the amount of ammunition they have bought to dry up the market for honest, law-abiding citizens.”

In March, over a dozen House members called on Janet Napolitano to answer for the Department of Homeland Security’s recent mass-purchases of ammunition, guns, and heavily armored vehicles.  So the question is this: did the Secretary respond to the House members’ call?  No.  Napolitano hasn’t said a single word.  The DHS doesn’t answer to Congress, it answers only to the president.

In a letter to the DHS Secretary co-signed by thirteen House members, Rep. Doug LaMalfa writes:  “Aside from being hard to justify, the timing of these purchases is of great interest as well since, as we all know, the Obama Administration is proposing legislation to further restrict access to firearms and ammunition. The extraordinary level of ammunition purchases made by Homeland Security seems to have, in states such as my own, created an extreme shortage of ammunition to the point where many gun owners are unable to purchase any.

Additionally, the Department has spent, or is asking to spend, significant amounts of money on nearly two billion rounds of ammunition while across-the-board spending cuts are in effect under the President’s sequester plan.  According to your recent public statements, these cuts make our nation more vulnerable to a terrorist attack, yet the Department is still spending money on millions of bullets in addition to the billion and a half that have already have or orderd.”

The new California Representative is correct in assuming that the DHS is helping Obama and the Congressional gun-grabbers who have blatantly stated that they aim to “dry up the supply of privately-owned firearms and ammunition”.  This hypothesis fits Obama’s disarm-and-control agenda perfectly.  Especially since Reid tabled the Senate gun-control bill recently.

America’s overgrown Obama regime is chiefly to blame.
That’s right; the Constitution and the Rule of Law have been flipped on their head by Barack Obama and his Gestapo henchmen through executive orders, memoranda, and other so-called “emergency” actions.

In 2013 alone we have seen Obama’s full-blown attack on the People’s Second Amendment, essentially re-writing it to read ‘the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed … unless it works for the regime’.

In Obama’s “fundamentally transformed America,” Americans themselves are targeted by the police and the military.

How much longer will Congress – a separate, but equal power – allow the Constitution and the Rule of Law be trampled on by Obama and his hired goons?
Barack Obama has been and is the most dangerous, reckless president in our nation’s history and it is time that upright members of Congress stop him!
The House and the Senate must take action against Obama’s dictatorship by fully defunding and dismantling his police state programs!

THE BOTTOM LINE:  How did we get here?  Well that’s easy…its because you and people like you did nothing to stop it.  The government hasn’t just become our enemy; it has always been the enemy of the people.  That’s why the Constitution exists.  But “WE THE PEOPLE” have been lazy, and have neglected to be vigilant in our responsibilities in this partnership.  What makes this truly a government by and for the people is that the people must participate, and now more than ever.  We rightly cannot point the finger at the government when they have done what governments are suppose to do and that is to govern, but WE THE PEOPLE have not done what we are suppose to do, and that is to communicate to our elected officials our demands to maintain our rights and liberty.  Don’t you think it’s about time?

"It is not the function of our government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error." -- U.S. Supreme Court in American Communications Association v. Douds
