My Cold Dead Hands
“You will take my ability to protect my Victoria
from my cold dead hands,”
said a Father of a Sandy Hook student.

The father of a Sandy Hook Elementary
School student testified on January 28, 2013 in a
Working Group Public Hearing at the Connecticut State Capitol on gun violence
prevention. Otherwise known as the
control of people!
While Bill Stevens’
fifth grade daughter was not physically harmed in the incident, she was a part
of the children that were in “lock down” during the shooting and following it. However, Mr. Stevens said that his daughter’s
friend’s little sister was one of the children that were murdered, “when
911 and ‘lock down’ were not enough to protect her from an evil person, not enough
to protect her from an ‘assault rifle’ or some type of an inanimate object, but
from an evil person.”
In speaking Stevens
said “the
security at the school was quite different from the elaborate security you all
enjoy here at the Capitol.” He
then added sarcasm to make the point, “It was fun getting frisked on the way in.”
Then he stated that
he was not there to quote factual statistics, or the number of lives that have
been saved with a gun or even the economic impact. He also said he wasn’t there to discuss “asinine
legislation” gun control laws that were being considered.
So what was he
there to do? He simply read from the
Connecticut State Constitution. Specifically
he cited Section 15: “Every citizen has a
right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state.” As he cited the Constitution,
applause erupted from the audience. “There’s no registration,” he said. “There’s no permitting.
There are no background checks. It’s
quite clear.”
Stevens said he was
“shocked”
by some of the testimony he had heard during the day. He reminded those listening that there is’ a
Constitution and the Bill of Rights and a process whereby the Constitution can
be amended. He also said the same went
for the State Constitution. Stevens
declared, “These rights are inalienable and are endowed by our Creator, not you
politicians, to all citizens regardless of gender, race, or creed.” He also said there was such a thing
as “due
process, and legislation is not due process.”
Stevens said, “You want to take my rights away, let’s go
to court.”
He also pointed out
that “gun
ownership is a right and should not make gun owners suspect simply because of
the numbers or kinds of guns they own or even how much ammunition they have. Criminals and tyrants,” he continued, “tyrants
especially, beware, ‘lock down’ is not an option at the Stevens’ residence, and
911 will be dialed after the security of my home has been established!”
Stevens asked, “Why
is that same security that my daughter enjoys at home with her dad not
available at school in Newtown ? That is what you should be considering, not
making her dad a criminal. Charleton
Heston mad the phrase, ‘From my cold dead hands’
famous,” Stevens thundered. “And
I will tell you here today, you will take my ability to protect my Victoria from my cold
dead hands!”
Stevens then slammed his fist on
the desk and walked out to the
applause of the audience. . Click

Folks, this is what
I have been talking about, this is what it’s going to take, men who will stand
up to the criminal bureaucrats and politicians who are eager to violate the law
and take our liberty, freedom, and our rights for a bit of false security and
leave us as victims. Major kudos to Mr. Stevens! May God bless you Sir!
I can only hope and
pray that Mr. Stevens will take a trip south to Washington DC and let those ‘Federal
Servants’ know what U.S. Constitutional law is really all about. Moreover if the ‘servants’ don’t get it, we will fire those ‘servants’!
THE BOTTOM LINE: One
would think that law makers would know the law but most of them really
don’t. They only know and/or care about what
they have been politically programmed with, and in most cases it is in
violation’ of the law. I believe it was
John Jay the first Chief Justus of the U.S. Supreme Court that said “all
laws legislated should be for the purpose of protecting the rights of the
people. Any law that violates the
Constitution is no law and shall not be enforced by any law enforcement officer
or upheld by any court of law.” I think our legislators have not only lost
sight of history and the truth, but they have lost sight of the purpose of law.
Of course one must
understand that the drive behind the ignorance of our legislators is an agenda
of power and control, it’s not’ gun control, its people control. Moreover, the driving force behind that
agenda is tyranny, it always has been.
This was the reason and purpose behind the Second Amendment. Our Forefathers knew, they had seen it before,
and they could already see it coming again just down the road. And now my friend, our servants are trying to
take away our ability to protect ourselves…‘from our government’, our Forefathers knew it was
a future inevitability.
The legislators are
the criminals my friend, and not the law abiding gun owners…
Why have I so often
said that our elected lawmakers aren’t really interested in protecting our kids
from a would be murderer? Well…just
maybe it’s because they aren’t really interested in protecting our kids from a
would be murderer. If they were, they
would encourage something that has been proven to work throughout history, instead
of prosecuting law abiding citizens for exercising their constitutional rights.
Why do they prosecute law abiding
citizens for wanting to defend their own lives by exercising their
constitutional rights? Because just
maybe, they want to prosecute law abiding citizens for defending their own
lives by exercising their constitutional rights rather than protecting your
kids from certain death. And then there
is that nagging question why do they want to do that? Because they want to strip you of your right
to defend yourself against…THEM!
I know – redundancy right…sometimes that’s what
it takes!
I’m sorry if you
think I am over simplifying the issue but I see it as a last resort
explanation. People who have been robotically
programmed by government institutions called public schools have a very
difficult time with independent thinking, reason, and/or logic; it’s just not
taught anymore. So you see, I am forced
to use the last resort of extreme simplification and redundancy.
There is a strategic
procedure in fire fighting known as backfiring.
It is a last resort strategy to fight fire with fire, to burn the fuel
back toward the fire in order to stop the out of control fire from continuing on
its rampage. It’s one of the oldest natural
strategies in history. A self-defense mechanism
if you will. It works! This same last resort strategic procedure has
been used over and over in schools for example, to fire back at an out of
control mad man. It works there too!
That is why our
lawmakers don’t want to use that strategy, because they have no control over it,
or…you!
