Jesus Could Lose His Land

Did you know that the first Amendment to the US Constitution said that we have: “Freedom ‘From’ Religion?” Well neither did I.

The First Amendment reads in full:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
I’ll be ‘dog gone’ if I can find the clause “Freedom ‘From’ Religion” in there any where, nor do I find the “Separation of church and State” clause. But I will keep looking!

What it does say however is that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech…"Etc.

Originally, the First Amendment applied only to laws enacted by the US Congress. However, starting with Gitlow v. New York, 268 and U.S. 652 (1925), the Supreme Court held that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment applies the First Amendment to each state, including any local county or city governments. So according to the Supreme Courts ruling “no one” can make a law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Mmmm this is interesting in light of the following. More proof that the Constitution has gone through the shredder.

Mountain Jesus could lose His land
A statue of Jesus on U.S. Forest Service land in the mountains over a Montana ski resort faces potential eviction even though He has been paying His rent on time and has had a lease contract for decades, this amid an argument over the “separation of church and state clause”. What separation of church and state clause was that again? (Read more on this subject.)

The Forest Service offered a glimmer of hope late last week for the statue’s supporters by withdrawing an initial decision to boot the Jesus statue from its hillside perch in the trees. But as it further analyzes the situation before making a final decision, the agency warned rules and court decisions are stacked against allowing a religious icon on the 25-by-25 foot patch of land. What rules and what court decisions would those be I wonder???

The Jesus statue has been a curiosity to skiers at the famed Big Mountain ski hill ‘for decades’, mystifying skiers at its appearance in the middle of the woods as they cruise down a popular ski run. But the atheistic “Freedom ‘From’ Religion Foundation” from hell, isn’t amused by the Jesus statue. Even though Jesus has lived here for thousands of years, they say, “He is illegally squatting on US forest service land.” This simply isn’t true He’s had a contract for better than 30 years, and He was paying rent on the little 25X25 foot plot of US land. The group argued that the Forest Service was breaching separation of church and state rules by leasing the small plot of land for the Jesus statue, and is pushing the agency to stand by its original decision to remove the religious icon. There we go again with this mysterious separation of church and state rule.

On the other hand we do have this’ rule folks, one that is obvious, one that is documented, a rule that one does not have to hunt’ for, and has stood the test of time,’ one that overrules any other rule that one might conjure up by some kind of sorcery. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech…" The so-call rule that doesn’t exist violates my rule, my friend. My rule is called the First Amendment and can easily be found in the Constitution of these United States of America. Oh oh say can you see…

THE BOTTOM LINE: What is your rule called, and where does one find it? Just you try to evict my friend Jesus from where ever He chooses to be my friend, and you are gonna wish you hadn’t. Big time!

He lets us live in 4000 square foot homes, on ten acre pieces of land and these brain-dead and spiritually dead folks want to deny Jesus a 625 square foot piece of land… When He owns the whole planet!

Think about it…
