Mc Cain Verses Obama

Obama true to form was very articulate in the debates last night as he says nothing at all or very convincingly lied. McCain on the other hand is obviously not a speaker but knows how to get the job done.

The beginning of the debate was about the present state of the economy which Jim Lehrer couldn’t seem t let go of or expected the two candidates to solve a problem right there on live TV that has been brewing for at least eight years. At which time I might add, the full congress has been controlled by the Democrats.

Mc Cain not able to charismatically articulate the fact that four years ago he brought a bill before the Senate that would have taken down the way Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac functioned and would have put severe restrictions on their loan policies, their by avoiding the Fannie and Freddie meltdown. But the Democrat Senate voted it down. Instead Obama brought up that Mc Cain is against Government control and regulations. Of course he is, McCain is a capitalist not a socialist, but Freddie and Fannie are Government institutions with absolutely no oversight, and if you remember they were the first of the dominoes to fall.

At the foundation of this economic meltdown is a liberal socialist Congress encouraging an industry of lending institutions to make sure that there is a chicken in every pot, or in this case a home for every family no matter what. Not to mention the fact that government is now taking over the industry, the goal of socialism.

The way I saw it, McCain meekly told the truth and what he would do to clean up the corruption and waste in government both Democrat and Republican. And Obama very charismatically denied the truth about his record or the lack of one and offered nothing in the way of a plan to cut the cost of a growing out of control Federal Government, which also by the way is the responsibility of a Democrat majority controlled Congress, they hold the purse strings not the Republican Administration.

In the past McCain has been accused of having a short temper. If he does he sure didn’t expose that side of himself even when Obama so rudely tried to control the conversation and repeatedly interrupted McCain while he struck a nerve and exposed one of Obama’s many deceptive lies.

Yes Obama is a good speaker, talker, orator, or however one would want to identify the only quality Obama has. I would even go a step farther and say Obama has the unique ability to lie right to your face (very articulately and charismatically of course) and because of that, one is tempted to see him as a the savior of our time.

I was sitting their, in front of the TV with McCain’s and Obama’s voting record in my lap. And Obama lied eleven times about what he supported or did not support by voting no, or just present. But of course he said it with such conviction and charisma.

On foreign affairs McCain spoke with authority and stated his position on the future of the Islamic conflict while all that Obama could contribute was that he original voted against the war. Jim Lehrer as well as McCain tried to get Obama back on track but to no avail, Obama is either stuck on stupid or just doesn’t know how to deal with what we face right hear, right now. His programmed hate America answer was just to run from a war, that because of McCain’s persistence in using overwhelming odds, we are finally winning, and instead just to find Osama bin Laden and everything would be warm and fuzzy. I did however agree somewhat with Obama’s assessment of Pakistan. Pakistan is a cesspool of Islamic and Hindu chaos with a nuclear warhead.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Over all it was a good first debate, with both of them feeling each other out. I hope that McCain can learn to relax a little and turn up the heat as well as the volume. I know that he knows what he is doing but he needs to boldly and confidently convey that to the American people.
