TV Reality Show Says Christians Just have a Code...

New TV: Lesbian, atheist, Muslim all attempt Christian lifeReality program follows people for 3 weeks of holy reformation

The following article was posted: August 10, 2008 by WorldNetDaily It begins:
A new television program broadcast this month follows a group of 13 non-Christian volunteers, who, on camera, attempt to "live by the teachings of the Bible for three weeks."

"Make Me a Christian," broadcast in a three-part series, asks the participants to be mentored by four pastors from a variety of backgrounds – Anglican,
Catholic, Evangelical, and Pentecostal – as they attempt to live like Christians, an effort that runs in stark contrast to many of the participants' backgrounds.”. To read the remainder of the article, click on this…

I have never heard such trash
The first and obvious light that went on in my itchy brain was the use of the title,”Make Me a Christian”... Whoever is at the helm of this derelict ship has absolutely no knowledge of Christianity, or Islam either for that matter. And why any Christian pastor would involve him or herself in this kind of ignorant heresy is a mystery.

Make Me a Christian” suggests that to become a Christian is a simple matter of changing one’s clothes, and being forced or as the title says, made to do it as well. It sounds more like a dare than a choice to spiritual commitment. While one can certainly be indoctrinated or brainwashed into going through the motions of a Christian or a Muslim, this certainly does not a Christian make.

This endeavor is not only fool hardy but dangerous as well, because no matter what the perceived outcome is, it will give rise to even more misunderstanding and deception as to what Christianity as well as Islam really is.

The WND article goes on to say: "According to the C4 website, the first episode sends the participants to York Minster, "an awe-inspiring cathedral that's almost 1,000 years old, where they are asked to participate in a communion service." After that, the four mentors – Pentecostal minister and leader of the Scottish Christian Party Rev. George Hargreaves, Church of England Curate the Rev. Joanna Jepson, Catholic Fr. John Flynn, and the World Harvest Christian Centre's Pastor Wale Babatunde – visit the volunteers in their homes and make specific recommendations on how to conform to a Christian code of conduct".

…”they are asked to participate in a communion service”.
If this isn’t putting the cart in front of the proverbial horse then I don’t know my Bible. This further proves what I said at the opening, these so-called Christian Pastors are the most ignorant people, Christian or not that I have ever encountered.

Jesus celebrated the last supper with his faithful and committed followers. Today spiritually born again Christians all over this planet partake of the bread a wine as a symbol of the broken body and the blood He shed for our sins. This doctrinally means that one must not only be a Christian to participate in communion, but one must have examined oneself closely at the time of participation as to one’s personal relationship with Jesus at that time. Put another way do you have any un-forgiven sin?

THE BOTTOM LINE: The article clearly states that at York Minister a 1000 year old cathedral the participants were asked to commit sin by participating in a sacred ceremony that is specifically for Christians only, and then it says they were visited in their respective homes to show them how to conform to a Christian code of conduct ??? What Christian code of conduct??? One does not become a Christian by being good or adhering to a code. One does acknowledge ones sin and the price or payment paid through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I doubt that Allah himself would dare to vomit up this much heretical blasphemy about what is takes to become a Christian, and this is coming from a group passing themselves off as Christian Pastors. May God have Mercy on their tragically lost souls.
